A small iOS app for capturing conversations and turning them into something you can actually use — a transcript, a titled document, a thread in your working memory.
The tools that exist either lose long recordings, live in walled gardens, or rely on companies with extractive practices. We wanted something with no dark patterns — record, transcribe, land in your own Google Drive, and get out of the way.
Records in the background — phone locked, screen off, app switched away. When you're done, it transcribes using Gemini and writes a titled Google Doc to your Drive. No intermediate app. No export step.
Long sessions: two-hour meetings, rambling walks, interviews. We got tired of recordings that choked at the one-hour mark. Reliability was the primary constraint; everything else followed from that.
In active internal use. Rough edges, no hand-holding, no onboarding flow. We built it for ourselves and the people immediately around us.
Unzip into .obsidian/plugins/speakeasy-sync/ and enable in Settings → Community plugins. Syncs transcripts from your Speakeasy Google Drive folder into your vault.
